Who owns Gloria Jean’s

Gloria Jean’s was founded in 1979 in Chicago by Gloria Jean Kvetko, per the brand’s own Our Story page. Today it’s owned by Retail Food Group (RFG), an Australian, ASX-listed multi-brand franchisor.

In its FY26 results presentation, released to the ASX on August 26, 2026, RFG reported:

• 9 franchise brands, about 1,200 trading outlets in 29 countries, including 665 in Australia
• domestic (Australian) network sales of $489.5 million
• Underlying EBITDA of $20.3 million, within its guidance range
• 10 Gloria Jean’s outlets trading in a new refurbished format

The presentation doesn’t break out a US Gloria Jean’s count. For a US buyer, the useful questions are what support RFG provides US franchisees today and who in the US runs franchise development and operations.

Worldwide size

Gloria Jean’s own Our Story page says “600+ stores across 40 countries in operation today” (checked October 10, 2026). RFG’s figure of about 1,200 outlets in 29 countries covers all nine of its brands, not Gloria Jean’s alone.
